BassamFellows + Starbucks, Original Furniture Collection

New York, NY

BassamFellows tractor stools were specified at the flagship Parque 93 café in Bogotá, and just two years later Scott Mitchem commissioned the duo to develop an original furniture collection for use in store design projects across the Americas region. The goal was to facilitate brand continuity between the Starbucks core cafés and the Roasteries and Reserve® stores without diluting those more elevated concepts.

By carefully selecting furniture archetypes for performance and cost efficiency and by focusing on manufacturing and materials innovation, the collection was set to deliver at a cost basis that could support the entire store portfolio while elevating design.

To ensure durability, all elements were tested beyond current BIFMA standards to Starbucks’ proprietary protocols.
